Liz: 9 to 5 is jail!

Liz thinks 9 to 5 is jail

Liz was stuck in jail called 9 to 5. She changed her life and is travelling New Zealand in a bus for a few months. On board: Her wife, two kids and a dog. The best part: While she is out exploring the country, she is making money by renting out her house.

What do you do for a living?

We have a holiday accommodation business in Kerikeri, New Zealand. During the summer holidays, we are renting out our house. We love going on a tour around New Zealand in our bus. We have had the bus for nine years. So sometimes we have done travelling for six months.

Living in a bus: What does it mean to you?

Freedom! I love the Gypsie life. Our children are making so many new experiences. It’s really cool.

9 to 5: How do you feel about that?

For me 9 to 5 is jail! No freedom at all!

Liz, what is your perfect way of life?

Getting paid to holiday which is what I currently do. That has been my goal and I nailed it. We have been renting out our house for the summer for nine years now while we are travelling.

What makes you happy?

Watching my children grow. That they are having many different experiences. That they are so much further ahead than other children of their age.

Do you have a life motto?

One thing I believe strongly is: The hardest thing is knowing what you want. Once you know what you want you  can get it.

Now or Never: So you got what you want?

Liz: Yes!

NoN: Congratulations! Not many people can say that they have managed to live their dream life. Let alone figured out what they want in life. Keep on living your dream! 😊

One of the films that inspired Liz  “Living big in a tiny house”.
